Description
The Lifili Negroamaro Salento is a red wine from Puglia, in southern Italy. On the Salento Peninsula, at the heel of the Italian boot, the Negroamaro vines are embraced by water and sun. This allows them to ripen perfectly and fully express their unique aromas, which are strongly expressed in the complex bouquet.
The Power of A6mani Lifili
Three women, six hands, and one passion—that's what the A6mani winery stands for. The three cousins, Elise Clerfeuille, Francesca, and Maria Cavallo, focus on revitalizing local vines at their winery. They are particularly fond of the Negroamaro, which, in Italy's hot climate, produces full-bodied, dry, and expressive red wines. The 25-year-old vines grow on soils rich in clay and limestone. Where rainfall is scarce and temperatures rise above infertile soil, the red grape varieties of Apulia thrive in their own unique way. This wine is made entirely from Negroamaro grapes. Only the finest grapes are harvested for this delicious and powerful red wine from A6mani. The vines are planted in clay and limestone soil, which gives them their beautiful characteristics. After harvest, the grapes are taken almost immediately to the winery. Here, they are first sorted and carefully broken open. Fermentation then follows in stainless steel tanks and small oak barrels at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged for six months in French and American oak barrels. The youthful character traits of Lifili Negroamaro Salento
With a beautiful red color, the Negroamaro Salento radiates in the glass. The bouquet is reminiscent of mulberry, blueberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant. Mediterranean herbs and juniper notes are also added, thanks to the oak. On the palate, it's a dry wine with rich aromas. A youthful finish also reveals hints of blackcurrant and mulberry. This red wine pairs particularly well with meat dishes.Product details
