Isn't this red wine called Little Fuck a cute label! It's made by the family-owned Vignobles Vellas estate in the heart of the Cahors wine region. Winemaker Nicolas Vellas had a predilection for the Malbec grape, but it didn't really work out for him in the first few years. He planted a vineyard in Cahors full of Malbec grapes, which seemed like a never-ending project, but thankfully, he persevered and now produces a truly magnificent Malbec! As he himself put it, a Little Fuck project, but so beautifully crafted. The vines simply needed more time to develop, and it took several years for them to yield the desired result.

The French quality wines of Vignobles Vellas

The history of Vignobles Vellas goes back a long way, spanning four generations. The winery has its origins in the heart of the Languedoc appellations. On their Mas du Pont estate, in addition to the 120-hectare vineyard, you'll also find a tasting cellar, a gastronomic restaurant, and even a riding stable for bulls and horses. Respect for the land, the environment, and the quality of the wines is paramount here. This is also why the vineyards are organic.

A special Malbec with a story

This delicious French red wine has an intense purple color that sparkles in the glass. Aromas of plums, cassis, blackberries, and cherries immediately greet you. A creamy, soft, ripe wine with rounded tannins and a silky, slightly spicy finish. The palate is enchanting, as we've come to expect from Vignobles Vellas wines. The grapes grow exceptionally well on the hills of Cahors, ensuring this wine's high quality. They are distinctively influenced by the environment, enjoying intense sunlight, cool nighttime temperatures, and frequent periods of drought. This allows the grapes to ripen slowly, which certainly enhances the flavor. It's a remarkable story with a remarkable label, but above all, a remarkable wine!
