Sauvignon Blanc at its finest! The grapes for this Sugarbush Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc come from a vineyard chosen for its distinctive terroir. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 85 to 110 meters in Cape Agulhas, at the Cape Point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. The region is renowned for its staggering biodiversity, which benefits over ten thousand plant species, as well as the grapes. The growing season here is long, thanks to the cooling influence of the sea.

Wines with exceptional freshness and liveliness

Lomond Winery is a winery worth keeping an eye on. It's an exciting newcomer to South Africa, with its first wine bottled in 2005. The winery has approximately 110 hectares of vineyards and serves as a model for the revolutionary developments in South Africa. Located eight kilometers from the Indian Ocean, in Gansbaai near Cape Agulhas, Lomond boasts one of South Africa's coolest microclimates. This gives the wines exceptional freshness and vibrancy. Iconic wines are the beautiful Sauvignon Blancs, intense, fresh, and balanced. This registered single vineyard site was deliberately chosen for its distinctive terroir of fine kaolin clay soils, for crafting Sugarbush Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. Situated on the southeastern slopes of Ben Lomond, it is one of the highest vineyards on the estate, ensuring the vineyard is cooled by the prevailing summer winds from the sea.

Enjoy refreshing Sauvignon Blanc

The grapes were harvested by hand. After harvest, the juice is cold-fermented at 13 to 15 degrees Celsius to preserve the natural grape flavors. The wine then rests on the lees for eight weeks before bottling. The result is a juicy and refreshing wine with a soft, uplifting finish. The aromas reveal rhubarb, gooseberry, and the crisp freshness of parsley and lemongrass. On the palate, the fragrant aromas are complemented by restrained notes of exotic fruit and the exciting bitterness of sweet grapefruit. Full-bodied in a delightful, refined, and balanced way. The image is the new label; the vintage is always accurate.
