Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs is definitely one of our favorites from this Champagne house. This Champagne is made entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown on chalky soil. Louis Roederer selected two Gran Cru vineyards specifically for this Cuvée, ensuring only the finest grapes are used in Champagne.

A moment of enjoyment called Louis Roederer

In 1833, Louis Roederer inherited this Champagne house, one of the last major independent family estates in Champagne. The wines are the result of the quality of the soil, passion, tradition, and exceptional vision. All with a focus on high quality and enjoyable enjoyment. Louis Roederer applied his extensive expertise to extract the most from the Msnil-sur-Oger and Avize vineyards. The Chardonnay grapes ripen exceptionally well in these locations and develop a unique character thanks to the chalky soils. This allows the winery to produce sleek and highly aromatic wines. It begins with the harvest, when the grapes are carefully selected and transported in small crates to the winery. Here, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. Approximately 20 percent of the still wines for this champagne are aged in oak barrels. The champagne is then bottled at low pressure to ensure a fuller, richer bubble. This champagne ages an average of five years in the cellars. Its golden yellow color immediately catches the eye.

What does Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs taste like?

The aroma is truly fantastic. Even slightly comparable to a good Chablis! The taste is typical of Chardonnay, soft and delicate. Light floral notes of white fruit and dried fruit combine with the almost chalky minerality of the Côte des Blancs. The texture has hints of candied almond, a sensation enhanced by a swirling effect that envelops the palate. This is followed by an impression of finesse, elegance, and freshness, enhanced by hints of fresh mint and basil.
