An Argentinian dessert wine made from the Gewürztraminer grape, a unique yet inspiring wine! Originally created for the family and their guests, Luigi Bosca Gewürztraminer Granos Nobles was so popular that a few bottles are now shipped to the Netherlands annually. It remains a rare find, with only 6,000 to 7,000 bottles produced annually.

Four months of wood aging for the Luigi Bosca Gewurztraminer Granos Nobles

Mendoza is the wine capital of Argentina, nestled at the foot of the impressive Andes Mountains. South of the city lies Lujan de Cujo, where Leoncio Arizu founded the Luigi Bosca winery in 1901. Various high-quality wine styles are produced here. Today, the winery is a leading player in the global fine wine segment. The grapes for this special dessert wine come from the Fina El Paraiso vineyards in the Maipu district of Mendoza. The vineyard is situated at an altitude of 780 meters above sea level, and the vines are around 50 years old. This altitude creates a unique microclimate. Due to the proximity of the Andes, the nights are very cool, while the daytime temperatures are very high. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness. The bunches are destemmed, and the best grapes are then selected. After pressing, vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at sixteen degrees Celsius. Upon reaching the desired alcohol content, fermentation is stopped by back-cooling, leaving a natural residual sugar. After aging on the lees for four months, the wine is filtered and bottled.

The aroma and taste of Gewurztraminer Granos Nobles

This dessert wine is a rich golden yellow in color. The aroma reveals a very ripe bouquet of sweet dried fruits such as peach, pineapple, and apricots. The taste is silky smooth, elegantly sweet, full-bodied, and ripe. A unique Gewürztraminer from Argentina. It pairs well with fruity desserts or blue cheese.
