An impressive red wine that can certainly be called unique. The Luigi Bosca winery, founded by Leonciu Arizu, has been producing quality Argentine wines since 1901. The company is still family-owned, and they work with continuous innovation and passion. This Los Nobles Malbec Verdot is a wine with expressive aromas and a velvety finish, ideal with red meat dishes and stews.
Grapes from 90-year-old vines
This red wine is a blend of Malbec and Petit Verdot. Both grape varieties are grown on our own vineyards, Finca Los Nobles, Las Compuertas, and Lujain de Cuyo in Mendoza. The vines are over 90 years old and are planted at an altitude of 1,050 meters. The climate is continental, with significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. The altitude and microclimate give the grapes a beautiful color and unique character. The sandy-loam soil with stony soil also contributes to this wine's unique character.
The grapes are harvested by hand in the early morning, keeping the fruit at a low temperature until it is transported to the winery. Once at the winery, the grapes are rigorously selected and destemmed. The must is cold-soaked for three to five days at a temperature of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature using pump-overs. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels where it ages for 16 to 18 months.
A unique glass of red from Luigi Bosca
This unique wine erupts violet-red in the glass, and immediately upon pouring, we can savor the expressive aromas of red and black fruit, sweet spices, flowers, and soft smoky notes. The latter is thanks to its aging. On the palate, it offers a lush flavor with lively freshness, and the fruity character is beautifully expressed. The palate is broad and deep with fine tannins and a lingering finish.
