The grapes for this Luigi Bosca Pinot Noir come from Bosca's east-facing El Paraiso vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo-Maipo. The vines are on average 45 years old and are situated at an altitude of 780 meters. The soil here is well-drained and shallow, with a mix of limestone and silt. The microclimate also favors the grapes, giving this Pinot Noir its distinctive character thanks to the perfect ripening in the sun and cool nighttime temperatures.
Luigi Bosca for four generations
As a tribute to the land and those who cultivate it, Luigi Bosca has worked for over 110 years to understand the vine's purpose. The passion of four generations of the same family, demonstrated in the Bodega Luigi Bosca collection, reflects the result of an ambitious effort that began many years ago: the desire to express the most profound version of the essence of Argentine wine.
Grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted, and destroyed upon arrival at the winery. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 28 degrees Celsius in stainless steel tanks. After alcoholic fermentation is complete, a portion of the wine is transferred to French oak barrels for eight months. The wine is lightly filtered before bottling.
