Fresh, fruity, and surprisingly mature: Luzón Contraseña Sauvignon Blanc 2024 proves that alcohol-free no longer requires compromise. This 0% wine is based on fully fermented Sauvignon Blanc and then dealcoholized. This preserves the grape's character. The wine is made by Bodegas Luzón, a producer with years of experience crafting full-bodied, modern wines—now applied to a non-alcoholic alternative that still tastes just as wine was meant to be.
Vineyards and region
The grapes come from vineyards in Jumilla, a region with abundant sunshine, chalky soils, and warm days. This climate promotes aromatic ripeness and a fruity character in the Sauvignon Blanc. It is precisely this ripeness that makes the wine suitable for the dealcoholization process, which preserves aromas while removing the alcohol.
Vinification and maturation
After destemming and pressing, the must undergoes fermentation for 15 to 20 days at a temperature of 10 to 16°C. This is exactly the same as with a classic Sauvignon Blanc. Only after complete fermentation is the wine dealcoholized, while retaining its aroma, flavor, and structure. The result is a wine with 0% alcohol and a naturally dry, juicy profile.
