The Wisdom family vineyards are located in central California. The unique climate and the family's dedication contribute to the quality of this beautiful winery. It all began around 1970 when Mr. and Mrs. Wisdom wanted to try their luck in California. They purchased a vineyard and each started producing their own wine. Mrs. Wisdom had a preference for Chardonnay grapes and wanted to add just the right amount of oak aging. Well, they succeeded, because Wisdom's wines are known for their excellent value, especially for their price-quality ratio. In recent years, the winery has invested heavily in modern winemaking techniques and purchased many new oak barrels. All of this contributes to the consistent quality of Wisdom's white and red wines.
Wood aging for Madame Wisdom's white wine
The Chardonnay grapes ripen like no other, thanks to the vineyard's abundance of sunshine and the coolness of the night and wind. This coolness is crucial, as otherwise the Chardonnay grapes would ripen too quickly. Because the Wisdom family dedicates so much attention to their vineyards, the harvest is exceptionally pure and powerful. It is therefore partially harvested by hand and rigorously selected. Each bunch is inspected and carefully inspected. At the pressing, the juice is already thick and golden yellow, but Madame Wisdom wants more and gives this white wine a long oak aging period. In the Wisdom cellars, the oak barrels are beautifully arranged, and after a long period, the wine is ready to be enjoyed. And we can tell you it's a feast.
