The Marco Porello winery has a long history in Piedmont, having been founded by Mr. Porello in the 1930s. He planted the finest local grape varieties, including the region's pride, the Roerno Arneis. The vines are planted on steep slopes, adding a unique dimension to this white wine. Now in its third generation, the company has been involved in winemaking from day one. Marco graduated from the University of Alba and gained extensive experience at various wineries in Tuscany, among other places, and renowned Bordeaux estates. Porello's beautiful, classic style has always been preserved, and this is evident in this white wine made from the Roerno Arneis grape.

The rich soil structure for the Roerno Arneis

The Roerno Arneis grapes come from the Camestri vineyard located in and around the municipality of Vezza d'Alba in Piedmont. Here, the climate is perfect, with abundant sunshine but plenty of coolness. The vines thrive in a rich soil rich in sand and limestone. This allows the plants to easily draw nutrients from the soil, producing full, robust grapes. At the right ripeness, all Roerno Arneis bunches are harvested by hand. This contributes to the freshness and purity of this Marco Porello white wine. After pressing, the wine is aged on the lees for an impressive twenty days, which explains its fullness.

The aroma and taste of Marco Porello wine

Upon opening this bottle, we immediately smell a powerful aroma of white fruit. In the glass, it emanates a lemon yellow with a green sheen. This Marco Porello wine boasts delightful aromas of white fruit, subtle minerals, and young grass. The palate is full, overwhelming, yet refreshing. Delicate notes of yellow fruit and citrus. A long, intense finish provides a perfect finish. Pairs well with pasta dishes.
