What a fantastic glass of rosé from Provence, specifically Bandol. The blend consists of 35 percent Mourvedre, 25 percent Grenache, and 40 percent Cinsault. They are grown here in the best conditions, each bringing its own distinct character to the bottle. All are hand-picked and then gently pressed, giving this Mas de la Rouviere Bandol Rosé an impressive bouquet.

The high quality of Mas de la Rouvière Bandol Rose

With its traditional Provençal architecture and 18th-century town, Château la Rouvière overlooks a hillside with low stone walls and faces south, offering views all the way to the limestone ridge above the Bec de l'Aigle. Owned by the Bunan family since 1969, the vineyards are planted with the appellation's five traditional varieties and fifty-year-old vines. Narrow stone walls, each wide enough for three rows of vines, rise up the sunny hillside to the estate. Bunan Winery produces exquisite, complex, and concentrated wines. Without compromising quality and terroir, Bunan succeeds in creating this complex, gourmet rosé. The blend for this rosé consists of Cinsault, Grenache, and Mourvedre. The grapes are harvested in September and October, after which a rigorous selection process follows. After pressing, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats for 11 to 17 days. The wine is blended in January and bottled in May.

Enjoy a fresh and ripe Rose

This Bandol Rosé has a pale pink, salmon-pink hue. Its delicate, distinctive nose reveals aromas of exotic fruit, lavender, jam, and a hint of citrus peel. The palate is wonderfully fresh and ripe, with abundant red fruit notes including raspberries, strawberries, and cherries. The finish is fresh and refined! Pairs well with foie gras, traditional or lightly spiced Provençal dishes, shellfish, smoked salmon, and goat cheese.
