The Mavum Rosso Corvina Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine from the Veneto region. It is made from the typical Corvina grape variety and the international Cabernet Sauvignon grape. High-quality grapes from exclusive locations in Veneto form the basis for this red wine. This combination of grape varieties is not often found, making it particularly interesting.
The winery behind the Mavum Rosso Corvina Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemakers Martino and Maurizio Biscardo are the third generation at the helm of the eponymous winery. They have taken over their ancestors' already successful winery and expanded it even further. Their headquarters are located in the Veneto region, where most of their vineyards are located. One of the reasons for the winery's success is their sustained investment in new technologies. Because all the cellar technology is up-to-date, this ensures the highest quality. In addition, Martino and Maurizio have two dedicated and experienced people on board.
The vineyards are located approximately 250 meters above sea level. Harvesting takes place only in the early morning and evening. This protects the grapes from the warm temperatures and prevents fermentation. The workers collect the grapes in small wooden crates.
They are then transported to the cellar. Here, further processing begins. The grapes are lightly pressed, and the winemakers begin fermentation. During this time, temperatures are continuously monitored in stainless steel tanks. Incidentally, both grape varieties are vinified separately and are only combined as finished wines. Winemakers Martino and Maurizio spend considerable time finding the perfect blend of grape varieties. This is followed by aging in wooden barrels to refine the tannins and intensify the spicy notes of the Mavum Rosso Corvina Cabernet Sauvignon.
What does the 40 Mavum Corvina Cabernet taste like?
The Mavum Rosso Corvina Cabernet Sauvignon offers a variety of flavors, thanks to its different grape varieties. The light Corvina grape imparts a light ruby-red color, while the Cabernet Sauvignon provides darker reflections. With age, the color develops a more garnet hue. It has rich aromas and a robust palate with a light tannin structure and a medium body. The wine pairs well with main courses, especially game, red meat, and aged cheeses. Thanks to its exceptional balance and structure, it is also excellent for casual drinking.
