Negroamaro Salento Mocavero stands for soft, ripe, fruity, and rich. These are the key words for this red wine from Puglia. The Nergoamaro grapes are planted on the finest slopes in the Puglia wine region. Plenty of sunshine and a fresh sea breeze ensure ripe and full-bodied grapes, resulting in a top-notch wine. Mocavero is unparalleled in its ability to produce very full-bodied and powerful wines, especially at a fantastic price point.

Winemaking according to ancient Mocavero traditions

Since 1950, Mocavero Winery has been producing exceptional wines. While the Mocavero family maintains its long-standing traditions and experience, they continually promote new developments and implement innovative ideas. Traditional recipes and aromas give the Mocavero winery's wines a certain authenticity and ensure an incomparable flavor. Francesco and Marco Mocavero, together with their father Pietro, are constantly developing their products, without losing sight of traditional practices. The careful selection of the finest grapes guarantees high quality, recognized worldwide. Vines for wines such as Santufili, Puteus, Tela di Ragno, and Curti Russi are cultivated on approximately 62 hectares. Mocavero is a term used to describe high-quality products that have received numerous awards.

The aroma and taste of Mocavero Negroamaro Salento

This wine is labeled IGP Salento. This means the grapes are authorized to come from Lecce, Brindisi, and Taranto, three districts in Apulia. After harvest, the grapes undergo a long maceration process, which gives the wine its deep color. The must is then fermented. This results in a full-bodied wine with supple tannins and beautiful aromas. Its color is ruby red in the glass, with a rich bouquet of fruit nuances such as blackberries, cherries, strawberries, and currants on the nose. The palate is rich and full, yet soft, with plenty of fruit, dominated by blackberries, complemented by subtle herbs, jammy notes, and cherry tart.
