In addition to the 600 hectares of vineyards that Maison Moët owns, they also have long-term partnerships with winegrowing families who carefully cultivate grapes for Moët & Chandon. As you can probably imagine, only the best is good enough for these world-famous Champagnes. This is also evident on Rue de Champagne in Eperney, where Moët & Chandon's main building is located, providing access to the magnificent cellars. A visit to these cellars is definitely worth it!

The aging of a 6-liter bottle, Méthusalem, is much better than in a standard bottle due to its size. In this 6-liter bottle, the Champagne has the optimal space and time to develop into a perfect Champagne. This Moët & Chandon 6-Liter case is certainly a perfect Champagne! Even uncorking this large bottle is a true celebration. Upon pouring, we immediately see the straw-yellow color with a golden shimmer. This shimmer is caused by the fine mousse that dances through the glass. On the nose, we encountered a broad and pleasant bouquet of citrus, apple, pear, and freshly baked bread. The fine mousse gives this Brut Imperial a pleasant and soft mouthfeel. The flavor offers rich nuances of white fruit, nicely balanced by a subtle hint of citrus. The finish is wonderfully refreshing and, thanks to the large 6-liter Méthusalem bottle, a true celebration!
