The vineyards for this Gambellara are located on the sunny hills of the Gambellara region, just east of Verona. Originally, the first layer of soil here still contained volcanic material. This gives the Morando Gambellara its characteristic bouquet. The wines are made from the fresh and local Garganega grape.

The popular Italian grape Garganega

The Gambellara region lies east of Verona. This province is by far the largest wine-producing province in Italy. Thanks to its consistently warm climate, it rarely experiences bad years. Year after year, this region produces superb grapes. The origins of the family's winemaking in the Marano di Valpolicella valley date back to 1907, when Caterina Zardini inherited exclusive management of the estate upon the death of her husband, Carlo Campagnola. In the 1940s, their son, Giuseppe Campagnola, moved the family business to its current location in the village of Valgatara, in Valpolicella Classico. In recent years, they have also significantly renovated the cellar. Investments in modern equipment have made it possible to produce wines that express the fruit's full potential. Garganega is the fifth most widely planted grape variety in Italy. It's a vigorous grape, harvested around September and early October. It has a substantial yield, and the loose bunches prevent rot. This makes it the ideal base for good quality wine. After harvest and strict selection, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. After this, the young wine is bottled and ready to be enjoyed.

Enjoy the elegant and balanced Morando Gambellara

This Morando Gambellara has an open aroma, with notes of lime blossom, apple, and melon, invigorating and exotic. It has a distinctly elegant flavor, not bone dry, slightly tart, vegetal, and exotic, with a refreshing acidity afterward, and a hint of vegetal character. It's perfect as an aperitif with hors d'oeuvres, light fish dishes, and white meat.
