The history of Mouton Cadet dates back to the mid-19th century, to 1853 to be precise. The story begins with Baron Nathaniel, who sold his Pauillac wines to the guests of his hotel. This winery was built up over many years. In the 1920s, the winery was taken over by his grandson: Baron Philippe de Rothschild. This name is incredibly well-known in the wine world. Thanks to my dedication and innovations, wine became available to a larger segment of the world's population by producing high-quality wines at a reasonable price.
The vineyards of Mouton Cadet Reserve Medoc Margaux
Mouton Cadet originates in Pauillac, a respected wine commune in the Médoc. The Médoc is located in the western Bordeaux region, the peninsula west of the Garonne River. Here you'll find the best and most beautiful wine communes in Bordeaux. Wine lovers worldwide eagerly await a bottle from Pauillac, Saint-Estephe, or Margaux. In the latter commune, Mouton Cadet also has several vineyards, thanks in part to the efforts of Baron Philippe de Rothschild. It is arguably the most beautiful wine commune in the world. Wineries such as Château Palmer and Château Margaux are iconic.
