Pago de Circus, a fantastic Spanish winery that has quickly become one of the top players in Spain. Owner Inaki Nunez purchased the land in the southern tip of Navarra with the goal of producing affordable and effective wines. He planted grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Syrah, Garnacha, and Merlot. The choice of vineyards proved successful, as the climate at a remarkable altitude of four hundred meters provided the perfect environment. The warm summers and cool nights contribute to a calm and balanced growing season, which we taste in, among other wines, this Pago de Cirsus Seleccionada Vendimia.

12 months of wood aging for this red Pago de Cirsus

The delicious red wine from Pago de Cirsus is made from Tempranillo, Merlot, and Syrah. The vineyards are located in Navarra at an altitude of over 350 meters above sea level, the perfect place for growing these grapes. The significant differences between wet and cold winters and dry and warm summers provide ample nutrients for the grapes to grow smoothly. The plants are now mature, developing deep roots. This allows them to easily draw moisture from the soil during dry periods, storing it during the wet winter. The grapes, therefore, have no shortages. Each grape variety reaches its full ripeness at a different time. Therefore, the hand-harvesting process varies for each variety. Once the grapes are pressed and vinification has taken place, this red Pago de Cirsus is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and then for another 6 months in the bottle in the Pago de Cirsus cellars.
