Paniza Garnacha Rosé is a beautiful rosé wine produced by the Spanish winery Paniza. It is made from the Garnacha grape, which is common in the Cariñena region, where the winery is located. The wine has a spectacular pink color and aromas of fruit and flowers typical of the Garnacha grape.
Traditional wines from Paniza
Paniza Winery is located in the Cariñena region of northeastern Spain. The region is named after the Carignan grape, traditionally cultivated extensively here, but today Garnacha is also widely grown, such as in the Paniza Garnacha Rosé. Founded in 1953, the winery has been producing traditional, high-quality wines ever since. Paniza currently has approximately 1,400 hectares of vineyards, spread across 450 different vineyards. The terroir in this region is very unique: it consists of sandy soils and clay, and the vineyards are surrounded by mountains that protect them from the cold north winds. This climate, combined with the vineyards' altitude, creates ideal conditions for growing high-quality grapes.
The vinification process for Paniza Garnacha Rosé begins with the pressing of the Garnacha grapes. After pressing, the grapes and skins are macerated for several hours to extract aromas and color from the skins. The colored juice is then transferred to a stainless steel tank where fermentation takes place at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. After fermentation, the wine undergoes various fining treatments and stabilization on racks to remove any impurities. The wine is also filtered before bottling. Finally, the wine is bottled and ready to drink. Thanks to the vinification process, the Paniza Garnacha Rosé has a beautiful pink color and an aromatic character.
The balanced Paniza Garnacha Rose
The aromas of fruit and flowers immediately greet you, a characteristic of the Garnacha grape. The wine has a medium body and a wonderful balance between acidity and fruity notes. The flavor is reminiscent of plums and dark fruit, giving it a rich and concentrated character. This makes for a delicious and refreshing wine that pairs perfectly with light dishes such as salads, chicken, or fish.
