This wine comes from vineyards north of Verona, in the heart of the expansive Valpolicella region. There, the Corvina, Rondinella, and Corvinone grapes grow to become some of the region's finest. But that doesn't happen by itself, says Mr. Pasqua, because hard work in the vineyards is required to make the grapes shine. Today, this beautiful winery is still family-owned, and the passion for winemaking has been passed down from father to son for generations. The love for Valpolicella is immense, as it still produces world-class wines like Amarone.

Full and very powerful this Pasqua Valpolicella

In recent years, the Pasqua family has invested heavily in both their vineyards and their modern winery. This is reflected in this red wine, which is remarkably smooth and full-bodied. After a long ripening process, allowing the sun to do its work, the grapes are hand-harvested and rigorously selected. Only the finest bunches are picked and placed in small crates to prevent damage. After a gentle pressing, the wine is given ample time to rest in the bottle. The Valpolicella wine ages for approximately three months in the Pasqua cellars. What a feast!

What does Pasqua Valpolicella taste like?

The aroma is perfectly balanced, with ripe notes of black fruit and hints of nuts and a touch of leather. The palate of this Pasqua Valpolicella is a feast for the eyes, full and powerful with just the right bite. Beautiful flavors of blackberries, berries, herbs, and subtle nuances of leather, roasted nuts, and chocolate. This Pasqua Valpolicella is, of course, delicious as an evening wine, but it also pairs well with dishes such as roast meats, barbecues, gourmet dinners, and hard cheeses. It's no wonder this red wine is often used in upscale restaurants.
