Pearl of the South Rose

The pearl of the south, that's what this Perle de Sud rosé is called. And it more than deserves it. The vineyards for this rosé are located in the warm Pays d'Oc wine region. For this rosé, the winemaker uses Grenache and Syrah grapes, which complement each other perfectly. He explains that the fruity character and beautiful light color are due to the Grenache grape, while the strength lies primarily in the Syrah. A unique blend that rivals the much more expensive Provence rosé wines.

The old vineyard of Perle du Sud

The vineyards are in excellent condition and are situated at a slightly elevated location. Due to their altitude, the grapes receive ample sunshine and can ripen slowly. The fresh breeze that almost always blows through the vineyards provides ample cooling. This allows the grapes to retain their freshness and pleasant acidity, which we will soon taste. After a balanced growing season, the harvest is brought in early in the morning. This is the best time for harvesting, as the grapes are naturally protected during transport to the Perle du Sud press. Upon arrival, the bunches are placed on sorting tables, and only the finest are used for this Perle du Sud Rosé.

What does the red Perle du Sud taste like?

Perle du Sud Rosé, once again one of our best-selling rosés this summer! That's not entirely surprising, since this Perle du Sud is a beautiful rosé made from Grenache and Syrah grapes. These two grape varieties complement each other perfectly! The aroma reveals plenty of young red fruit like strawberries and raspberries, with a light hint of anise. The taste is fresh, smooth, and very accessible. Beautiful notes of strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of red acidity. The finish is mildly dry and very pleasant. This delicious rosé brings sunshine to your glass!
