Characterful wines from Peter & Peter

Peter & Peter is a winery in Palatinate, Germany, founded in 2011 by Peter Götz and Peter-Jakob Kühn. Located in Laumersheim, the winery primarily produces white wines from Riesling, Weissburgunder, and Grauburgunder. Peter Götz is an experienced winemaker with a long family history in viticulture. Peter-Jakob Kühn owns the Kühn Winery in the Rheingau and is renowned for his Rieslings. Peter & Peter's goal is to produce characterful and expressive wines that reflect the Palatinate terroir. They achieve this by using carefully selected grapes that are harvested by hand and processed with minimal intervention. Peter & Peter's wines are characterized by their freshness, fruitiness, and minerality, and are popular with wine lovers worldwide. The Peter & Peter Spätburgunder rosé is made from 100 percent Spätburgunder grapes, hand-picked in the Palatinate vineyards. The vinification process begins with careful selection of the grapes and a cold maceration lasting several days to extract the color, flavor, and aromas. The grapes are then pressed, and the must is transferred to stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation. After alcoholic fermentation, the young wine is transferred to steel vats, where malolactic fermentation takes place and the wine matures further.

What does the Peter & Peter Spatburgunder rosé taste like?

This results in a complex and elegant Spätburgunder with intense aromas of ripe red berries, cherries, and plums, along with subtle notes of vanilla and spice. On the palate, the wine is soft and full-bodied, with good structure and pleasant tannins that balance the fruity and spicy notes.
