Description
Pfaffl Grüner Veltliner Primo 0% Alcohol
Weingut Pfaffl in Stetten, just north of Vienna, grew from a mixed farm established in 1978 to a leading estate named European Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast. Primo is their alcohol-free interpretation of Grüner Veltliner, kept fresh and pure for maximum drinking pleasure. What is verjuice? Unfermented grape juice from early-harvested, unripe grapes, intended for a refreshing, non-alcoholic drink with natural acidity.
Vineyards and region
The grapes come from Lower Austria, Austria. Loess soil, warm days, and cool nights form the natural habitat of Grüner Veltliner, imparting tension and juiciness without the need for alcohol fermentation.
Vinification and maturation
The grapes are harvested in early August when they are still unripe and low in sugar. The grapes are pressed, and the juice is filtered to prevent fermentation. A little water is added to soften the high acidity, after which the wine is bottled immediately with a screw cap. No dealcoholization, but a verjuice-based, natural 0% alcohol wine.
Grape composition
