The Vigna Garzon vineyard is located on the slopes of Monte Garzon in Cellore d'Illasi, at an altitude of between 350 and 500 meters above sea level. The pink limestone, clay, and gypsum-rich soils give the wines a unique mineral character. The vineyard, planted in 2000, is certified organic, which contributes to the purity and integrity of the grapes.
The hand-harvested grapes are naturally dried for two to three months using the traditional appassimento method. After gentle pressing and fermentation at controlled temperatures, this Riserva matures:
36 months in 500-liter French oak tonneaux
12 months in vitrified concrete tanks
A minimum of 12 months of bottle maturation ensures unparalleled balance and refinement.
Serve this wine at a temperature of 16-18°C. The Amarone Vigna Garzon Riserva 2018 is the perfect accompaniment to rich dishes such as game, stews, roasted meats, and aged cheeses. This wine also shines as a meditation wine, ideal for enjoying on special occasions.
