Looking for a light rosé with a perfect price-quality ratio? Look no further because this Pierre Jean Grenache rosé ticks all the boxes! Yvon Mau has headed the winery from which Pierre Jean wines originated since 1914. The story goes that this man was cycling through France in search of fine wines. After finding the perfect location around 1913, he became the owner of the winery in 1914, which is still known by his name, Yvon Mau. This man was always on the lookout for gems from unknown corners. High-quality wines at a very reasonable price. We certainly see this reflected in Pierre Jean wines today. Pierre Jean is named after Yvon Mau's grandson, who also proudly led the winery for many years.

Light rosé wine

For the Grenache vineyards of this delicious rosé, we travel to L'Aude. Here, we find the young Grenache vines, all planted facing south so the grapes can optimally absorb the sun. Because the vines are relatively young, between 5 and 10 years old, they produce wonderfully fresh grapes, characteristic of this Grenache rosé. Grenache grapes are ideal for making a good rosé because the skins retain very little color. This allows for the light pink color of the rosé to be achieved. When the Grenache grapes reach the right ripeness, they are harvested entirely by hand. Only the finest fruit is used for this rosé wine. After gentle pressing and vinification in stainless steel vats, this top-quality wine is bottled and matured for another two months in the bottle in Pierre Jean's cellars.
