The ideal Spanish climate for Garnatxa Negra

Pinord's winemaking tradition goes back many years. The family-owned winery was founded in 1942 and is known today for its acclaimed and renowned wines. Located in Vilafranca del Penedes, the winery operates exclusively organically. They work passionately and lovingly in their vineyards, and everything revolves around producing excellent wines. This wine is produced in Terra Alta, a wine-growing region surrounded by mountains that divide the Ebro River Valley. The climate is Mediterranean with continental influences. Many hours of sunshine alternate with significant annual rainfall. The wind also plays a particularly important role in this region. It keeps the vines and grapes healthy during ripening, but also helps to cool down the hot summers.

The vinification of Pinord Diorama Garnatxa Negra

The grapes are carefully harvested by hand. They then arrive at the winery, where they are destemmed and placed in barrels for ten days. After fermentation, the skins are pressed, and the wine is racked several times to stabilize it. It spends approximately four months in barrel to bring out the tannins and color before being filtered and bottled. This Diorama Garnatxa Negra is a bright violet in the glass with hints of pink. Aromas of cherries and red fruit are immediately released. The palate reveals notes of spice, cinnamon, and jam. This red wine pairs perfectly with vegetable soups, stews, or meat dishes.
