An inviting sparkling wine from Pizzalato, and in such a beautiful presentation. This Spumante is part of the M-USE line. It's a new bottle style, created as a result of a sustainable design project. With this line, they aim to demonstrate that sustainability and art go hand in hand. It's a velvety-smooth wine that strikes a beautiful balance between sweet and sour.
Organic wine growing for five generations
The Pizzolato family has been involved in winemaking for five generations. The estate covers 58 hectares and also collaborates with five other organic producers. This beautiful estate is nestled in the rich and flourishing countryside of northern Treviso, Italy. The vineyards are situated on the plains and hills near the Piave River. Here, the grapes benefit from the temperature fluctuations between day and night, allowing them to develop delicate aromas.
Today, Settimo Pizzolato is at the helm, producing a variety of wines together with ten specialists. Pizzolato's wines have won several prestigious awards, thanks in part to the state-of-the-art technology used to produce them. The family has made every aspect of the production process sustainable. They use green energy, half of which they generate themselves. They reduce waste through innovation and energy-efficient machinery, and they reduce their water consumption in the vineyards through micro-irrigation. By respecting the natural world, they create Italian organic wines of the highest quality.
What does the Pizzolato Spumante Dolce Moscato taste like?
The grapes are carefully harvested and gently pressed. The must is transferred to autoclaves using the Charmat method, where alcoholic fermentation takes place. Here, the temperature is controlled for at least 30 days to ensure the correct pressure is achieved. The result is a Spumante Dolce Moscato with floral notes and hints of peach on the nose. It is a velvety wine with a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. An excellent pairing with all types of desserts.
