This latest white wine from Poderi dal Nespoli is made from 90 percent Pinot Bianco and 10 percent Sauvignon Blanc. The name Dogheria comes from the vineyard of the same name, where the vines for this wine are grown. This blend is superb and produces a ripe, powerful, dry white wine.

The unique Pinot Bianco Rubicone Dogheria

Except in Alto Adige, Pinot Grigio isn't widely planted. The Romagna region is the exception. This location is ideal for this grape variety. Pinot Grigio thrives on light clay soils with a high sand content. This soil produces light-bodied wines with considerable finesse. Rubicone is a major IGP in the Emilia-Romagna region, on the southern side of the Po Valley. The vineyards are located west of Ravenna and southeast of Bologna. This wine comes from the Dogheria vineyard in the Bidente River valley, on the northern side of the Apennines. The Pinot Bianco grape gives the wine its juicy and mild character. The addition of ten percent Sauvignon Blanc beautifully enhances the wine's aromas and also adds some lovely, fresh acidity. It is made from the fruit, with low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel. The result is a wonderfully juicy, fruity, and light-bodied white wine, aromatic and seductive.

A balanced wine with an intense freshness

The Dogheria Pinot Bianco Rubicone from Poderi dal Nespoli appears in the glass a light straw yellow and caresses the nose with delicate floral aromas of jasmine and orange blossom. The bouquet of this white wine cuvée is rounded out with a hint of citrus and green apple. On the palate, this white wine is spicy and balanced with an intense freshness that culminates in a long and elegant finish. Enjoy this dry white wine with tuna sashimi with stir-fried vegetables, seafood, and grilled fish, or with pasta.
