Progetti Agricoli Terre di Mario Pinot Grigio | Terre di Chieti IGT, Italy
Progetti Agricoli Terre di Mario Pinot Grigio is an expressive white wine from Abruzzo, sourced from the heart of the Terre di Chieti IGT. Named after Mario, the founders' grandfather, this fresh and elegant Pinot Grigio embodies the house's commitment to purity, tradition, and modern winemaking. The 2024 vintage was awarded an impressive 92 points by Luca Maroni – a testament to its consistent quality and refinement.
Vineyards and region
The wine comes from vineyards in the province of Chieti, in the southern part of Abruzzo. Thanks to its proximity to the Adriatic Sea and the foothills of the Apennines, a unique microclimate prevails here, with warm days, cool nights, and ample ventilation. The soils consist of clay and limestone, which impart freshness, finesse, and structure to the wine.
Vinification and maturation
After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. No wood is used, allowing the Pinot Grigio's pure expression to fully unfold. The wine rests for several months on fine lees for added roundness and aromatic intensity.
Grape composition
100% Pinot Grigio.
Tasting notes and serving suggestions
This Pinot Grigio is pale yellow in color with green highlights. The nose offers aromas of citrus, white peach, and blossom. The palate is fresh, smooth, and mineral, with a refreshing acidity and an elegant finish. Serve at 8 to 10 degrees Celsius with grilled fish, light pasta, shellfish, or as a stylish aperitif.
