A delicious and refreshing Douro blend consisting of Barroca, Tinta Cao, Tinta Roriz, Touriga franca, and Touriga Nacional grapes. The latter, in particular, plays a key role in this blended wine, contributing a fruity character that is clearly evident in both the aroma and the taste.

Manual harvest for Quinta dos Murças Minas

In 2008, Quinta dos Murças became part of the Esporao winery, which, after a long search, had found the perfect expansion in this region. Located in the heart of the Douro region, Quinta dos Murças is characterized by its eight terroirs. These are characterized by the mountains, varying altitudes, abundant sunshine, slate soils, and a unique climate. Dozens of native varietals are planted in the vineyards. The surrounding trees help maintain the balance of the ecosystem, resulting in distinctive wines with exceptional characteristics. This wine from Quinta dos Murcas comes from vines planted on a slope between 110 and 300 meters in altitude. The south-facing vineyards enjoy abundant sunshine, allowing the grapes to develop greater concentration. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and taken directly to the selection tables in the winery. They are then destemmed and pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius in granite vats. Finally, the wine is aged in concrete vats and French oak barrels for nine months.

The fruity aromas of Quinta dos Murças Minas

The Quinta dos Murcas Minas emerges with an intense red color in the glass. The aroma is full of red and black fruit, complemented by floral aromas and balsamic notes. The taste is wonderfully fresh and vibrant. Firm and ripe tannins on the palate with a pleasant acidity. The finish is long and lingering with just the right amount of freshness.
