6 months of wood aging for this Reserva
One of these "new projects" is this Quinta Nova Reserva Terroir blend. This magnificent red wine is made from authentic Portuguese grapes, namely Tinta Cão, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca. These grapes guarantee a full-bodied and powerful red wine. The vines for this red wine are planted at an altitude of approximately 250 meters. This allows the grapes to receive sufficient cooling from the wind and the falling nighttime temperatures during the warm summers. The unique microclimate, with warm, dry summers and cold, wet winters, ensures excellent ripening of the grapes. The soil retains sufficient moisture for the summer period, allowing the deeply rooted plants to draw sufficient moisture from the ground during dry spells. When the grapes are optimally ripe, they are harvested and pressed by varietal. After fermentation and blending, this red Terroir Blend Reserva is aged for six months in French oak barrels for a perfect and profound finish.
