The Adriano is a special edition that is superior in quality to the Tawny, but with only a slight price difference. It is aged for six years, and only the finest grapes are used for this Port. It is red with orange highlights. It has an intense aroma with notes of fresh fruit.
The excellent quality wines of Ramos Pinto
Founded in 1880, Ramos Pinot has become a leading winery producing excellent port and Douro wines. It owns four vineyards in the Douro wine region: Quintas do Bom Retiro and da Urtiga, traditional vineyards in the heart of the Douro Valley, for refinement and sophistication; Quinta dos Bons Ares, one of the most modern vineyards in the Douro Superior, for a fresh and vibrant note; and finally, Quinta de Ervamoira, located in the Côa Valley, for structure, robustness, and intense fruit. The grapes for Ramos Pinto wines come from all these vineyards.
Ramos Pinto stands for ports of outstanding quality. The artistically exquisite labels also reflect the commitment of this traditional winery to the art of winemaking.
The wines are made at the Ramos Pinto Quinta do Bom Retiro winery. For LBV and Vintage Port, the grapes are processed using the traditional lagering method (a stone press trough formerly used for foot pressing). This traditional technique allows for the juice to be extracted from the grapes with exceptional efficiency and care. After the initial winemaking process, the wines are transported to the historic cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, where they undergo a long aging process.
The fruity aromas of Ramos Pinto Adriano Reserva Port
This results in a port with red and orange reflections in the glass. An intense aroma with notes of fresh fruit (cherries and blackberries). Aging in oak barrels creates aromas of dried fruit (plums) and nuts (walnuts) with balsamic undertones. The initial impression on the palate is of fresh fruit, with some peppery notes also discernible due to the Port's age. Excellently balanced with a long and elegant finish.
