A beautiful, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the finest and oldest vineyards in the Barossa. Adrian Hoffmann is a Barossa legend and a sixth-generation farmer with some of the finest vineyards in the Barossa. Filled with Cabernet Sauvignon, he definitely knows the land better than most! RedHeads Winery is fortunate to have such a great relationship with him and to receive grapes from his Ebenezer vineyard.

The quest for the glorious vine

RedHeads Winery was founded by a group of young winemakers who own their own estates in McLaren Vale, Australia. Together, they sought out the country's finest parcels to craft high-quality wines. The winery is located in the town of Tanuda in the Barosso Valley, a wine region in southern Australia. It all began here in an old barn, a former restaurant named RedHeads. This is where several young winemakers pursued their shared mission: to break away from the large wine corporations and make their own beautiful, creative wines, with a focus on quality. Unlike the cowboy on the label who lost everything—his job, his house, and his girlfriend—RedHeads found beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon vines with which they created this Whip Hand. With this story, RedHeads wants to show that sometimes the search for the very best vines can be incredibly difficult. RedHeads' search, however, led them to the glorious vine. Exactly what they needed to create this delicious Cabernet Sauvignon.

Hand harvest for RedHeads Whip Hand Cabernet Sauvignon

The grapes for this Whip Hand Cabernet Sauvignon are harvested by hand. The selection is done bunch by bunch, as only the finest juice deserves to be bottled, and that's certainly a success. But before bottling, this red wine is aged for a full twelve months in oak barrels in the RedHeads cellars. The aroma is intense, with notes of blackberry, cassis, and plum, along with a touch of spice. The palate is a feast for the eyes, velvety smooth with abundant notes of blackcurrant, spice, toasted vanilla, and, of course, oak. On the back of the tongue, we tasted the beautiful characteristics of the Cabernet Sauvignon: cassis fruit, plum, and fresh blackberry.
