Remelluri, a renowned winery in Spain, is known for its exquisite wines. Led by one of Spain's finest winemakers, this winery excels in producing high-quality wines. The Remelluri Reserva is a prime example; an iconic and elegant wine with bright fruit aromas and silky flavors enriched with fine tannins.
17 Months of Maturation in Wood from the Remelluri Reserva
Founded in 1967 when Telmo Rodriguez took over the Remelluri winery, this winery has become an icon in the wine world. Located in Labastida Alavesa, the vineyards are situated on the highest slopes of the Sierra de Tolono, where the climate is ideal—plenty of rainfall, ample sunshine, and protection from strong winds by the surrounding mountains. The wines are organically produced from vines between 35 and 80 years old. Individual care and attention to each wine ensure their exceptional quality, including extended barrel aging when necessary.
The Remelluri Reserva is a blend of Garnacha, Graciano, and Tempranillo grapes, hand-harvested at peak ripeness and rigorously selected in the cellar. The wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation followed by 17 months of aging in French and American oak barrels.
Taste profile of the Remelluri Reserva
This exquisite Reserva wine immediately captures the eye with its aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, mint, bay leaf, and a hint of vanilla, thanks to its oak aging. The palate is light and silky, with an abundance of fruity notes, complemented by fine acidity and smoky accents. The finish is long and pleasant, with hints of black pepper. This elegant Rioja wine is truly remarkable.
