After the success of the Chardonnay, Jean Marc continued to dream of a red wine. He knew one thing for sure: he wanted to make a red wine using local grape varieties from the Pays d'Oc. After a long search, he found his happiness in a very old vineyard. He chose Grenache Noir grapes for their softness, Syrah for their spiciness, and Mourvèdre for their suppleness. This blend, the Gsm blend, has become a truly iconic wine in the south of France. The old vineyard gives this red wine both power and softness, with a great deal of richness.

The old vineyard for the red wine Reveu

This red wine derives its strength from the old vineyard, where wine has been cultivated for decades. The old vines, filled with Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes, create the perfect balance in this wine. The climate in the south of France is perfect; many strong summer days combined with the fresh breeze blowing through the vineyards make it unique. The balance between warmth and freshness is perfectly balanced, allowing the harvest to ripen slowly and evenly. The bunches are then partially harvested by hand and carefully sorted; only the finest bunches are used in this red wine.

Wood aging for the Reveur Grande Reserve Grenache Noir Syrah Mourvèdre

When the grapes are harvested, they undergo another thorough inspection. Only the finest grapes are used in this red wine. After all the grape varieties have been harvested, the blend for this Reveur Grande Reserve is created. It then matures for several months in oak barrels, after which this "dream of Jean Marc" is ready to be enjoyed. It's a real treat, as he begins pouring this red wine. A beautiful ruby-red color with a purple sheen reveals itself. It has a rich aroma of forest fruit, herbs, and hints of cherry and chocolate. The palate offers a very soft feel, pleasant black fruit, and, of course, the lovely spiciness of the Syrah grape. The finish is long and balanced, as we would expect from a Grande Reserve.
