A sweet sensation from the breathtaking German vineyards. This opulent German wine is made by Weinhaus Gebr Steffen, known locally as Steffen. This family business, which dates back to 1794, is located in Germany's most famous wine region: the Mosel. For over 200 years, they have amazed everyone with their exquisite wines. This Steffen Rheinhessen Spatlese is an ideal wine for sweet white wine lovers.

Steffen's vineyards

Anyone who's ever driven along the Mosel River will be stunned by the sight: steep slopes topped with thousands upon thousands of vines. This is certainly true for the vineyards of Weinhaus Steffen. It was founded by Johann Steffen in the small, idyllic village of Trittenheim, about a half-hour drive from Trier. Primarily indigenous varieties allow Steffen to create some of the most exceptional German wines. Steffen Rheinhessen Spatlese uses the ever-familiar Riesling, a true all-rounder from German vineyards.

Impressions of Steffen Rheinhessen Spatlese

Steffen Rheinhessen Spatlese owes its sweet character to the late harvest of the grapes. Riesling grapes are picked late, allowing them to accumulate more sugar. After harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery in Trittenheim, where, under the close watch of the Steffen family, they are selected, pressed, and fermented. Because so much attention is paid to the production of Steffen Rheinhessen Spatlese, the quality is exceptionally high. Your senses will immediately recognize this quality. Steffen Rheinhessen Spatlese is bursting with ripe fruit, which forgives its sweet character. A hint of citrus adds a touch of freshness to the white wine. This makes the wine sweet, but absolutely not cloying.
