Quality wines from Von Winning

At the Von Winning vineyard, every effort is made not to disrupt the vineyard ecosystem, but to support it. The grapes are deeply rooted, allowing them to perfectly express the terroir's unique character in the wines. This allows them to thrive even under challenging conditions, such as extreme drought or heavy rainfall. In the winery's cellar, the wine is manipulated as little as possible. For the top wines, minimal filtration, natural fermentation, and the elimination of fining agents are used. This results in wines with authentic character, in an elegant style, that stand out from the crowd.

The most important grape; the Riesling

The estate's main grape is Riesling; eighty percent of the 38 hectares of vineyards are planted with this grape. A large portion comes from vineyards in and around Deidesheim, the vibrant heart of the Palatinate wine region. Only the finest grapes are used for wines under the Von Winning label. The grapes for this delicious wine come from vineyards in the municipalities of Ruppertsberg, Deidesheim, and Forst. The grapes from Forst are considered the very best, as these vineyards have a Grand Cru classification.

On the nose, this Riesling Von Winning has hints of apple, white fruit, and minerals. But it's so well-balanced, a real achievement.
