Chic, chic, or rather chic, or just plain chic, it's all possible for this masterpiece of French craftsmanship. The name "Chic" of this rosé lives up to its name, as it's a rosé with depth and freshness, similar to that found in the Cotes de Provence. The big and well-known name behind Rosé Chic is the Château du Rouët winery, located in the Cotes de Provence. But beyond the vineyards there, they also have several top vineyards in the Vin de Pays de Mediterrannée region. Here, the old vines are filled with the Grenache, Cinsault, and Tibourenc grapes used in this Rosé Chic.

The old vineyard of Rosé Chic

For years, the vineyards have been working hard to make this Rosé Chic, and you can taste the difference. But before we get to that point, we'd like to take a moment to appreciate the vineyard's perfect location. It stands on very old soils where wine has been grown for centuries. This strong soil structure provides the vines with plenty of nutrients, consisting primarily of pebbles and loose sand. This allows the vines to draw a lot of moisture from the ground. This is essential, as it can get quite hot in the summers. When the Grenache, Cinsault, and Tibourenc grapes are ripe, they are harvested one by one in the morning. Once all the juice has been harvested, the Rosé Chic winemaker creates the marriage of the grape varieties. Not just any marriage, but one with a golden edge, because this is truly an exquisite glass.

What does Rosé Chic taste like?

Pure love—that's the first thing we wrote down when we tasted this rosé. The celebration began the moment we poured it. We noticed a beautiful salmon pink color, similar to the one found in the Cotes de Provence. It has a wonderful aroma and evokes impressions of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and a touch of lime, gooseberry, and grapefruit. On the palate, this Rosé Chic offers a refreshing feeling. Plenty of red fruit combined with all sorts of fresh notes. We're thinking of grapefruit, lime, and a touch of gooseberry. The soft and full flavor instantly makes this rosé one of our favorites. The finish is long and balanced, with plenty of room for red fruit.
