Imagine vineyards just 800 meters from the coast, where the cooling sea breeze gently blows through the vines. This is the home of Pellegrino Salinaro Grillo, a wine named after the nearby salt pans. These salty breezes enrich the Grillo grapes with a unique flavor, resulting in a wine that is both fresh and balanced.

Pellegrino: A Family History of 135 Years of Winemaking

In 1880, Paolo Pellegrino laid the foundation for what is now, 135 years later, one of Sicily's most renowned wineries. Seven generations later, Cantine Pellegrino symbolizes tradition, experience, and a deep passion for winemaking. This family has amassed a wealth of knowledge about their land, the vines, and the art of winemaking. While they specialize in indigenous Sicilian grape varieties, they also produce exquisite wines from international varietals. Located in the westernmost part of Sicily, Pellegrino's vineyards enjoy a variety of microclimates. This area, with the largest vine-covered area in Italy, offers ideal conditions for producing top-quality wines, thanks to the intense light, dry climate, fresh soil, and southerly winds.

Taste the Essence of Pellegrino Salinaro Grillo

The grapes for this special wine are harvested at the end of August. After pressing, they undergo careful vinification at low temperatures for 3 to 4 weeks. The wine then rests for 4 months in stainless steel tanks. Upon opening a bottle of Pellegrino Salinaro Grillo, you're greeted by delicate citrus aromas, complemented by floral hints of jasmine and orange blossom. A sip reveals a harmonious balance of grapefruit, lemon, and lime, with a subtle touch of vanilla. This wine shines in a bright pale yellow hue and treats you to a bouquet of floral and fruity notes, complemented by hints of peach. Its palate is dry, smooth, and refreshing, making it the perfect companion for summer days and gastronomic adventures. Cheers to the refined flavors of Pellegrino Salinaro Grillo!
