The perfect embodiment of Negroamaro, with the vision of San Marzano. Although Negroamaro is sometimes, quite unfairly, overlooked, San Marzano F Negroamaro is an ode to this beautiful indigenous grape. A successful glass of Italian wine. Negroamaro is often characterized by a slightly bitter (amaro) flavor. Negroamaro is one of the many beautiful grape varieties Salento has to offer. San Marzano F Negroamaro is simply fantastic, and above all, simply delicious.
Wood aging for the San Marzano F Negroamaro
The grapes used for San Marzano F Negroamaro come from three specially selected vineyards. The three San Marzano vineyards where this Negroamaro grape grows were marked with the letter F, hence the name: F Negroamaro. The grapes thrive in the wine-producing climate that Salento offers. Perfectly oriented towards the sun, the grapes develop considerable depth. Furthermore, the soil contains a lot of red earth and limestone, a soil in which the Negroamaro thrives! After harvest, the grapes undergo a rigorous selection process. Only the very best are used to create this Italian flagship San Marzano. The wine is then aged for 12 months in both French and Caucasian oak. A unique experience in winemaking!
