Schlumberger Rose Secco is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. This initially makes us think of a highly complex sparkling rosé. Nothing could be further from the truth. This Schlumberger Rose Secco also belongs to the "Secco" series, which was specially developed for the modern or younger wine drinker. (That doesn't mean, of course, that classic wine drinkers won't enjoy this delicious sparkling wine!) Due to a higher residual sugar than is normally found in the bottle, this sparkling rosé has a pleasantly light sweetness. The grapes for this Schlumberger wine come from contracted winegrowers in Burgenland. They grow these Pinot Noir grapes on behalf of and in collaboration with Schlumberger.
The scent and taste of the Schlumberger Rose Secco
The result of these Pinot Noir grapes is phenomenal! The color is a beautiful pink with lovely sparkling bubbles. The aroma is a true feast. Delicious aromas of raspberries, strawberries, and cherries dance out of the glass. The taste is very pleasant. The slight sweetness, combined with the red fruit notes of raspberries, strawberries, and finally some cherries and rose petals, creates a beautiful balance. We detected some fresh notes in the finish, which completes the balance and leaves us eager for the next sip. A perfect wine as an aperitif or with a red fruit dessert.
Beautiful Austrian Bubble
This delicious sparkling wine from Austria comes from the Schlumberger winery. Until recently, it was the only one producing Austrian sparkling wines. For over 175 years, it has been the pride of Austria! This gem of a winery was founded by the German Robert Schlumberger, who moved from France to Austria for love. In France, he worked at Ruinart Champagne. He lacked the passion for making sparkling wines and so he went to work in Austria. And not without success! What fascinating sparkling wines he makes using the Methode Traditionelle. The diversity, from classic to modern, ensures that this winery has a suitable sparkling wine for every wine drinker.
