The vision of 34 winegrowers in 1944 has never been abandoned. They joined forces to create the finest wines from the Tierra de Castilla wine region. Their vision was to make wine with respect for nature, combining ancient traditions with modern winemaking techniques. This vision has been more than achieved, as today, the Tierra de Castilla winery has grown into a global player with over 1,200 affiliated winegrowers. All wines, including this rosé, are made exclusively with organic grapes, a fact that is clearly reflected in the pure style of this Bobal Rosé.
The harvest of the Bobal grapes
The Bobal vineyards of Senorio de Iniesta are located in the Tierra de Castilla wine region, at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level. This allows the bunches to receive a lot of fresh wind, and nighttime temperatures drop significantly. As a result, the Bobal bunches retain their freshness. The old, thick vines give the harvest considerable strength, thanks to the ancient soil structure. The vineyards are situated in the valleys of the Júcar and Gabriel rivers, giving the harvest an extra finishing touch. The harvest is then brought in early in the morning/at night to protect the bunches from oxidation and bruising during transport to Senorio de Iniesta.
What does the Senorio de Iniesta Rose taste like?
As soon as we open the bottle, we smell a vibrant aroma of red fruit with hints of grapefruit and lime. In the glass, it turns salmon pink with a faint orange shimmer. Its aroma is rich, bringing to mind notes of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, and, of course, a touch of grapefruit. The palate is truly thirst-quencher, with plenty of fresh nuances of citrus, grapefruit, and small berries on the palate. The back of the palate reveals delicate flavors of mint and citrus fruit. The beautifully fresh and long finish completes the whole experience.
