The harvest of the Mainzer Domherr Kabinett

The old vineyards, nestled in the heart of Rheinhessen, are yielding the winemaker a magnificent harvest. But this doesn't happen automatically, he explains; they work hard to make all the grapes shine. During the growing season, they prune extensively to allow the grapes to soak up plenty of sunlight. Thanks to the many hours of sunshine on the prime slopes, the grapes grow superbly, resulting in thick, full bunches.
