Vintage Report
The 2019 vintage in Trentino-Alto Adige has been rated with an excellent score of 93 points. The wines from this year are of high quality and currently perfect for drinking.
What depth and fullness this Linticlarus Tiefenbrunner Pinot Noir Riserva possesses. It's a gem, a showpiece, whatever you want to call it, from Tiefenbrunner. This full-bodied Pinot Noir is aged in oak barrels, and you can taste it. The vineyard for this Pinot Noir is located in Montan, where the grapes are grown in a southwesterly direction. The harvest is entirely by hand, ensuring only the finest grapes reach the bottle!
The renovated Tiefenbrunner winery
Tiefenbrunner Winery has dedicated itself to quality in all its wines, producing wines typical of the grape and the vineyard. Christophe Tiefenbrunner began in 1991 and has significantly modernized the vineyards and perfected the winemaking process. The wines are sourced from grapes grown in twenty hectares of their own vineyards and from grapes from other producers. The emphasis is primarily on white wine, at seventy percent. The remainder is red. This is quite unusual for the Alto Adige region, where most winemakers emphasize red wine production. White, however, remains an excellent choice for the future. Moreover, the mountain slopes are very suitable for growing white grapes. Pinot Noir grapes aren't the easiest to cultivate. They pose a significant challenge for all winemakers, regardless of their location. The grapes are harvested in late August and early September to preserve the wine's freshness and acidity. The Pinot Noir is grown in a relatively warm vineyard, right by the estate. It undergoes a short, rapid fermentation to preserve all the fruit. This results in an elegant, almost Burgundian Pinot, aged exclusively in used barriques. The aromas and flavors of Linticlarus Tiefenbrunner Pinot Noir Riserva
In this Linticlarus Tiefenbrunner Pinot Noir Riserva, you immediately smell aromas of red fruit, light herbs, and lavender, along with hints of vanilla and wood. A powerful wine with the softness of the Pinto Noir grape. The palate boasts lovely, fresh acidity and a rich, perfectly balanced bouquet!Product details
