The vineyards of Tolloy

In 1904, one of the first Italian cooperatives was founded, MezzaCorona. In the equally well-known Trentino Alto Adige region, this winery produces unparalleled quality wines. They achieve this by bringing together the best local winemakers. They control some 2,400 hectares of vineyards, each with its own unique microclimate. They adapt the planting of grape varieties to this climate, creating unique combinations. And when these grape varieties are combined in a blend, exquisite wines are born. The grapes are planted on the beautiful hills surrounding Salorno, protected by the Alps from the cold winds. The terroir is unique, allowing the grapes to develop not only exceptional qualities, but also the climate allows them to ripen perfectly. Tolloy wines are named after a famous 18th-century innkeeper, Johann Tolloy. The Gewürztraminer grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness. Traditional vinification follows, starting with a cold maceration. This is followed by temperature-controlled fermentation at a temperature of around 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. After the necessary rest, it's time to enjoy this yellow-colored wine.

With golden reflections, the Tolloy Gewurztraminer shines in the glass. It has an aromatic bouquet of slightly spicy notes of ripe fruit. Characteristic, but above all, very appealing. A dry wine on the palate with a harmonious, full, and elegant flavor. Pairs perfectly with fish dishes or a delicious cheese board.
