Semi-sweet white wine

These delicious, slightly sweet wines owe their name to the small village of Pobleta, where the vineyards for Torre de La Pobleta are planted. At the entrance to the village stands a magnificent, large medieval tower, called Torre de La Pobleta. The vineyards for this semi-sweet white wine are located around the village in the Valencia region. Torre de La Pobleta is made from Moscato and Marseguera grapes, two grape varieties that lend themselves well to sweet wines. Both grape varieties ripen on the vines until late in the growing season, allowing them to optimally absorb the necessary sugars. Once the grapes have reached the desired ripeness, the harvest begins. This takes place at night, when the grapes are still "resting," allowing the skins to better withstand transport to the press.
