Torres Celeste Crianza

One of the newest wines from trendsetting Torres. Since its launch in 2005, this wine has quickly built a considerable reputation. The wine comes from Ribera del Duero, a region in northern Spain, a two-hour drive from the capital, Madrid. For Torres Celeste, the winemaker used only tinto fino. This grape is also known as Tempranillo. Tempranillo is the strength not only of Ribera del Duero, but of all of Spain. From Penedes to Catalunya and from Rioja to Ribera del Duero, Tempranillo is a hit everywhere.

Ribera del Duero is a relatively young wine region. It only received its DO designation in 1982. Since then, this area has been producing attractive and beautiful wines. It was from this time on that wineries began to recognize the area's potential. Torres waited a long time to release Torres Celeste, the Ribera del Duero standout. This was because the wine had to be perfect; nothing is left to chance. The label is inspired by the night sky of this breathtaking region: a clear sky, full of stars.

The grapes for Torres Celeste grow at an altitude of 895 meters above sea level. This is the ultimate growing altitude. Here, they receive the necessary warmth during the day. Conversely, at this altitude, it also cools down just enough at night for the grapes to develop wonderfully. Torres Celeste boasts impressive oak aging. 40% of the wine is aged in French oak and 60% in American oak. After 12 months, the wine is blended, and the result is magnificent. The nose reveals a broad bouquet of black fruit, chocolate, vanilla, spices, and plums. Your taste buds are tantalized with a single sip of Torres Celeste.
