After the success of the red Torres Celeste, the Torres family felt it was time to complement it with a top-notch white wine. This white wine represents the latest project from the Pago del Cielo winery in the Ribera del Duero. The vineyards are located in the Rueda in the municipality of Villafranca del Duero, on the left bank of the river, which is wide and abundant here. This contributes to the superior quality of the bunches and, of course, the old vines. The beautiful hills in the wine region contribute to a cool harvest, as the wind constantly blows through the vineyards.
Celeste's old and special Verdejo vineyard

The old vineyards are situated near the river, and some plots face north. This allows for a diverse harvest, resulting in a truly unforgettable white wine. Soil structure is crucial for the Verdejo grape; in this small area, it primarily consists of gravelly soils composed of clay and rounded pebbles—characteristic of the riverbed. This gives the harvests a unique style, which is evident in this white Celeste wine. Winemaker Juan Ramón García is proud of his harvest, and this vintage is the first, but certainly not the last. The entire harvest is harvested early in the morning and is carried out entirely by hand, ensuring purity and a refined flavor. According to winemaker Juan Ramón García, it is the most full-bodied and characteristic Verdejo wine from the Rueda region.
The scent and taste of the Torres Celeste Verdejo

It's a truly special experience, an aromatic and intense white wine. The joy begins upon opening the bottle, as we smell elegant, spicy notes of fennel and anise, along with plenty of citrus fruit. In the glass, it erupts in a light yellow with a green sheen. The aromas explode from the glass, bringing to mind nuances of citrus notes of lemon and pineapple, as well as some green herbs and fresh mint leaves. The palate is very pleasant, leaving the palate feeling fresh, with a richness of tropical and citrus fruit, followed by a touch of green herbs. The longevity and power of this Verdejo are unique; we can tell you there are no other Verdejo wines like it. The finish offers just the right amount of passion fruit and a touch of gooseberry, rounding it all off.
