Nero di Troia Riserva Ottagono di Torrevento is made from 100% Nero di Troia grapes. These grapes grow in a historic vineyard at the foot of Frederick II of Swabia's famous castle and are rooted in chalky and rocky soils at an altitude of approximately 480 meters above sea level. This makes this Nero di Troia Riserva a powerful wine with spicy notes. The flavor is very harmonious.
 The renowned Torrevento winery

The story of Torrevento begins in the heart of the Alta Murgia National Park, Italy's first rural park, where the close connection between man and nature is central and where traditions go hand in hand with human activity and the environment. In 1948, the Liantonio family acquired the old Benedictine monastery and the 57 hectares of surrounding vineyards. Two years later, Gaetano Liantonio inherited the estate, renovated it, and continued production by creating a traditional wine cellar called Vinicola Torrevento.
The Nero di Troia Riserva Ottagono from Torrevento is an excellent wine, thanks to its ripeness from 100 percent Nero di Troia grapes. Harvesting is carried out with care, with quality paramount. The wine is refined in oak barrels and barriques at the winery for approximately 18 months. Finally, the wine is aged for a further period in cement tanks and bottled.
