What a sparkling Italian gem, this Festoso Asti Spumante. It sparkles in the glass, beautifully showcasing all the characteristics of the Muscat grape. With its exceptionally long history, Toso knows like no other how to make excellent sparkling wines. And this Asti Spumante is a wonderful example.
The high quality of Toso
The Toso winery is run by brothers Pietro and Gianfranco, and their cousin Massimo. Their great-grandfather, Vicenzo, is at the heart of this innovative winery. He successfully founded the estate over a century ago. The winery embodies tradition and modernity. This combination means a great deal to them, as it allows them to create stunning results of truly high quality. Careful attention is given throughout the entire production process to ensure consistent quality.
This classic Asti is made from the Muscat grape. The vines grow in the rolling hills of Piedmont surrounding the town of Asti. The Asti derives its fine bubbles from fermentation in steel tanks. After the grapes are harvested, they are crushed and pressed, then transferred to large steel tanks. Here, the temperature is lowered to just above freezing to prevent fermentation from starting before the tanks are sealed and pressurized. The temperature is then raised to initiate fermentation, during which carbon dioxide is formed within the tank. Once the winemaker has achieved the desired level of alcohol and residual sugar, the wine is transferred to a new container, which removes any remaining yeast. The Asti is then bottled and ready for market.
A refreshing, lively wine from Toso

It is a young and fruity wine with plenty of good flavor. Perfect as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to fruit and desserts.
