Trimbach Winery is known for its Gewürztraminer grape. This white wine is a step up from the "basic" Gewürztraminer. Wow, wow, wow, were our words when we tasted the latest vintage. You smell pure quality and taste exquisite craftsmanship. The wine is much fuller-bodied than the "regular" Gewürztraminer, but that only makes it even more enjoyable when you get to pour this bottle.
The French quality wines from Alsace
If you're a lover of quality Alsatian wines, Trimbach is the place to be. Established in 1626, the founders of this label have worked tirelessly to make Alsatian wines popular worldwide. For four centuries, the Trimbach family has cultivated their vineyards, producing dry, elegant, and balanced wines with just the right acidity. Currently run by the 12th generation of Trimbach family members, this label represents the pinnacle of authentic Alsatian wines. The Trimbach estate is located in the heart of Ribeauville, on the classic "wine route." This route features numerous rivers, mountains, and vineyards. Consequently, the route offers a variety of soil qualities, climatic conditions, temperatures, and terroirs. This explains why the grapes grown here are full of character and flavor. Riesling is the most common varietal grown on the Trimbach estate.
The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a rigorous selection process. Only the very best juice is used for Trimbach's quality wines. Both oak and stainless steel barrels are used for aging. Currently, more than 85 percent of the wines produced on this estate are exported to various countries worldwide. This clearly demonstrates how highly prized these wines are.
The smell and taste of the Trimbach Gewürztraminer Reserve
A tremendously aromatic, opulent, almost perfumed aroma rises from the glass; ripe tropical fruit, a hint of citrus, a certain spice: a celebration with all the bells and whistles. Take a sip of this wine, and you're almost transported to another world. The tropical fruit, such as lychee and pineapple, along with subtle notes of various stone fruits, rolls in your mouth. If you taste carefully, you'll even discover hints of licorice. Everything about it tells you that this is a top-notch wine. It's no wonder this white wine from Trimbach is only produced in peak vintages.
